トランプ、墓穴を掘るの話 一昨日のFox News の朝の番組で、トランプはあることないこと、ないことあることをいろいろとわめきちらしたが、一番本人にとって致命的なことがある。マイケル・コーンとの関係を可能な限り抹殺しようとする発言が１つ。下記の記事にもあるように、ナショナル・インクワイラーというタブロイド －トランプのいいなりの雑誌 － が、コーンを明確に批判する記事をトップに掲げている。だが、この行動はトランプにとって致命的になる可能性がある －アヴェナッティがそう言っている。というのは、コーンは１０数年間にわたり、トランプの暗い国際取引を一手に引き受けてきたフィクサーであり、その事務所、宿泊ホテル、自宅が、FBIのニューヨーク南部支部により家宅捜索を受け、大量の資料が押収されたこと、そしてそのなかには、ストーミーがコーエンとのあいだで結んだNDAと交換に13万ドルが支払われたことに関する資料が含まれている可能性が大であるからである。 トランプの失言は、コーンは自分にとっては、ほんのささいな位置しか占めていない、と述べた後、「ストーミーの件でコーンが自分の弁護をしているにすぎない」と述べたことである。つまり、これまでの知らぬ存ぜずの立場から一転、この裁判については、コーンが自分の弁護に立っている、と明確に述べた点である。 このDNAの存在は１月にWAPOがすっぱ抜いたことで知られるようになった。それは、 コーンとダニエルズとのあいだで、１０年前の件について秘密を守る、という条件のもとで１３万ドルが支払われたというものである。ここで”DD” という人物が登場してきているが、この人物の欄はブランクになったままである。 じつは、DDはトランプの変名であることが確実視されている（ほかにあり得ない）。 この書類がすっぱぬかれて以来、コーンは、「自分の一存で行ったこと。１３万ドルは自分がもつ不動産を担保に用立てたが、トランプはまったくこのことを知らない」と述べ続けてきた。こんな話、素人でも信じるはずのない類のものである。弁護士が顧客との相談なしに、しかも自分の家を担保に資金を用立てるなどといったことは、あってはならない行為である。 トランプは１週間前までは、この用立てについても、知らぬ存ぜずで述べてきていたが、この電話インタビューで、怒りに任せて、ストーミーのこの裁判ではコーンが弁護活動をしていることを認める発言をしてしまった、ということである。 このことで、トランプ側は、押収された資料をFB I側が読む権利を禁止するということができなくなった。中立の立場の人物により、どう扱うかが今後決定されることになったが、トランプは、コーンとの関係をきわめて小さなものと述べたことで、押収資料の大半はFBIが自由に読める、そしてその中にはストーミーのこの契約書も、さらには同様のNDAが少なくとも１０種類あると言われているものも、検察側が証拠資料として持ち出すことができる状況が確定したということになる。 さらに致命的なのは、コーンが完全に四面楚歌的に追い込まれてしまったという現実である。コーンは「トランプ命」的に活動してきていたが、そしてそのため、彼は、トランプ政権内で要職につけるとおもっていたのが、裏切られた、にもかかわらず、忠誠を誓って行動してきたが、ここにきて、完全にトカゲのしっぽ切り扱いを受けることになった。トランプの任命はきまぐれで、そのため、内閣はほとんど本来の機能を果たすことができないままで今日に至っている。 こうなると、コーンがトランプに忠誠を尽くす理由は何も存在しなくなる。というのは、このまま進行するとかれは、確実に長期の懲役刑を宣告されるからである。そしてそのことにより得るものは何もない。「転べば」大幅な減刑が得られる。そして検察側は、もちろん一次証言によりトランプの国際舞台、モスクワやウクライナなどなどでの暗いビジネス活動の実態告白を得ることができることになる。 アヴェナッティは、きわめて雄弁で自信に満ちている。一介の弁護士がポルノ女優の弁護を引き受けたということから始まったこの話は、いまやトランプ大統領を追い落とす最有力の一翼に躍り出る、という考えられない方向への展開 －これは特別検察官ミュラーの場合とはまったく性質の異なる環境である － に向かっている。 現在の共和党、とくにその指導部の基礎理念を放棄して、トランプの言いなりになっている状況下にあってアヴェナッティとストーミーの活動 －ストーミーがポルノ女優であるという経験が、ここにきて通常の女性では耐えられないようなプレッシャーに打ち勝つという強みを与えている － が、大きな注目を浴びている。 （アヴェナッティの話はきわめて論理的である。そして非常に自信をもって活動していることがうかがわれる。トランプは、口から出まかせでしゃべり、そして話すごとにウソが入っているのだが、彼は一度も前言の失言を訂正したことがない。こうした人間があいかわらず発言を許され続けているということ自体、大統領職のもつ問題にも行きあたっている。１年４カ月、毎日この状態が続いている。日本の政治家の場合であれば、１度の失言でも命取りになるが、トランプはいまだにホラを吹き続け、気に入らないと罵声を浴びせ続けている。ツイッターで。 トランプの情報源で、笑えないような本当の話がある。トランプはテレビを長時間、とくにお気に入りのフォックス・ニュースを聞き続け、そこから得た話を、早朝のツイッターですぐにオウムのように使っていることが知られている。実際、そっくりそのままの表現がツイートされている様子が、他の番組ではよく登場して語られている。こういう人物であるから、コメディ的な番組では、トランプは大変な人気者である。めちゃくちゃにコケにしながら、観客を歓喜させている。こういう番組がいくつもある。） Stormy Daniels lawyer predicts Michael Cohen will ‘flip' on Trump • Michael Avenatti also says Trump is in ‘panic mode’ • Daniels’ lawsuit against Donald Trump’s lawyer put on hold Martin Pengelly @MartinPengelly Sun 29 Apr 2018 20.33 BSTFirst published on Sun 29 Apr 2018 20.11 BST • The lawyer representing the adult film actor Stormy Daniels said on Sunday Donald Trump was in “panic mode” and expected his attorney Michael Cohen to cooperate with investigations into the president. “Mr Trump and the administration have concluded what I’ve been saying for weeks,” said Michael Avenatti, on CNN’s State of the Union. “That Michael Cohenis in a lot of trouble and he’s going to flip on the president.” White House correspondents’ dinner: Michelle Wolf shocks media with Sarah Sanders attack Read more Cohen’s office, hotel room and home were raided by the FBI earlier this month, after a referral to the southern district of New York by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian election interference and alleged links between Trump aides and Moscow. Trump has denied collusion and called the investigation a “witch-hunt”. FBI agents were looking among other things for documentation relating to Cohen’s orchestration shortly before the 2016 election of a payment to Daniels of $130,000, in return for her silence over a sexual relationship she claims to have had with Trump. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is suing to be released from the deal. She also alleges defamation by Cohen. Cohen indicated this week he will invoke his fifth amendment right to avoid self-incrimination. On Friday, the judge in California granted Cohen a 90-day delay, given that he is under criminal investigation in New York and that an indictment is “likely”. The new edition of the National Enquirer tabloid, meanwhile, takes aim at Cohen under the headline: “Trump fixer’s secrets and lies!” The paper is owned by a Trump ally, David Pecker, and is often seen to do the billionaire’s bidding. “This [National Enquirer cover] is the first effort on their part to undermine Mr Cohen’s credibility so they can claim when he does flip that he’s a liar,” Avenatti said, adding that it was “a pretty safe bet that Mr Trump … knew everything about this cover”.
